UK Customs Training

ChamberCustoms delivers customs training, equipping traders with everything they need to stay up to date with the requirements of HMRC when importing and exporting. Our Customs Agent Training will upskill your team to the same standard as our Customs Clearance Agents.

Customs Declarations Service (CDS)

All declarations are now being made on CDS: Ensure your team is fully prepared with our training courses on the new HMRC customs system, CDS. Companies must be ready to handle the additional data required.

Whether your company uses an intermediary, is an intermediary, or submits customs declarations internally, we have your CDS training requirements covered.

Why Do I Need UK Customs Declaration Training?

From 31st December 2020, when the UK departed from the EU, every single import into the UK and export out of the UK requires a customs declaration form.

Since the UK left the EU’s single market and Customs Union, ChamberCustoms has been committed to improving our international trading customers’ ease and efficiency.

Companies that import or export goods need to complete additional administration when clearing goods through UK ports in Great Britain and Northern Ireland; this is why we have created our HMRC-compliant training portfolio to support your business through the latest changes and developments.

You can complete all of our customs training courses online, either individually or as a group.

In-House Training Courses

We can offer all of these CDS Training courses in-house – in your business environment – shaping these courses around your specific needs, challenges, business and industry.

A ‘Customs Declaration’ is a fiscal document regulated by HMRC, providing details on the goods being imported and exported.

Regulatory and tax compliance is at the heart of our offering. ChamberCustoms is setting new standards through how we train and deliver customs clearance services in the UK.

Traders importing and exporting goods must accurately account for border clearances and get them right every time. Agents need certainty in calculating VAT and Duty liability for imports. We train trade, finance and logistics teams on how to do this.

ChamberCustoms courses are ideal for employees within the following departments:

  • Shipping
  • Logistics
  • Distribution
  • Finance
  • Export Administration
  • Export Sales Administration

Our training courses are delivered virtually (unless bespoke or in-house) and range from 1 day short courses to 4-day advanced customs agent training courses, with additional support packages available.

ChamberCustoms is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the British Chambers of Commerce, which has been helping traders to trade across the globe for almost 140 years.

We also provide customs clearance services and bespoke consultancy for UK trading businesses; we keep you compliant and efficient in your imports and exports.

ChamberCustoms makes customs clear now that the UK is no longer in the EU single market and customs union. A potentially complicated process is made smooth, compliant and entirely transparent.
